The only traders vetted by Kent Trading Standards

Trading Standards Checked is a fair trader directory for trades in the home maintenance sector run by Kent County Council (KCC). Together with our members, we aim to prevent financial abuse, stop doorstep criminals and protect residents, especially the vulnerable, from rogue traders and criminals.

We know it is difficult to find a safe and reliable trader that you can trust. Trading Standards Checked carries out thorough checks on traders and has access to information that no other scheme in Kent has, so you can have peace of mind when choosing a Trading Standards Checked trader to do work in your home.

Covid 19 - Keeping you safe

With case numbers of the COVID-19 Omicron variant increasing in England, new restrictions have been introduced from the 10 December 2021 to make face coverings mandatory in most indoor settings in a bid to help slow spread of new infections of COVID-19.

We are urging our Trading Standards Checked members to protect themselves and their customers by wearing a mask in customers homes. As well as this we are promoting good hand hygiene throughout their visit to your property and where possible, conducting business outside or in a well-ventilated area.

What if things go wrong?
